ATB Funds - 2023 year-end distributions

Important dates and information regarding year-end distributions

Distribution date

ATB Investment Management Inc. will be processing year end distributions to unitholders of the ATBIM Funds on Friday, December 29, 2023.

Record Date: Thursday, December 28*

Payment Date: Friday, December 29

*All existing unitholders, including those who have placed a trade purchasing an ATBIM Fund on this date, will be entitled to receive the distribution.

What this means

The record date will be Dec. 28, 2023. An investor purchasing a fund qualifies as a unitholder of record on the trade date, therefore an investor who purchases units of an ATB Fund on Dec. 28 will be eligible to receive the distribution.

Investors who buy:

  • On or before Dec. 27, 2023 will receive the distribution end of day on Dec. 29, 2023, and the distribution will be posted to their account on Jan. 2, 2024.
  • On Dec. 28, 2023 will receive the distribution on Dec. 30, 2023, and the distribution will be posted to their account on Jan. 2, 2024 as the fund purchase must settle before the distribution is paid.
  • On or after Dec. 29, 2023 are not eligible for the 2023 distribution.

Please be aware that while distributions will be paid to unitholders on Friday, Dec.29, these transactions are processed overnight and may not be visible in their dealer accounts until the next business day (Tuesday, January 2, 2024). Unitholders with online access to their accounts will see the (lower) post-distribution NAV applied to their existing units, prior to receipt of the distribution units, leading to an artificially lower than expected market value. Once unit transactions are processed by the dealer, the true market value will be accurately reflected.

Tax factor breakdowns for the 2023 distributions are anticipated to be made available in early March 2024.
